PrintWeek Awards 2009

PRINT firms throughout Yorkshire brought home a host of awards following the recent PrintWeek Awards in London.


Sheffield-based Evolution Print won 'Innovative Printer of the Year' for its printing of "Noise 5", a limited edition book which showcases 250 pages of print design on unique paper stocks and uses more than 40 print finishes.

Evoution Print were also runners up in the 'Brochure Printer of the Year' category.

Northend Creative Print Solutions, also from Sheffield, were crownded 'Book Printer of the Year', with the judges nominating them as a clear winner in the category.

Other Yorkshire print companies were commended in several categories including the 'Student of the Year' Award, in which Chris Marson and Natalie Turner of Leeds City Colllege were recognised.

A Millenium of Print - Yorkshire and Humber Print Industry Annual Dinner

7 for 7.30pm Thursday 18 February.

PrintYorkshire's Annual Dinner for the printing industry. Strrictly limited to 80 Senior printing industry guests and CEO of BPIF etc.

Grays Court provides the very elegant surroundings in the shadow of York Minster. The date has been chosen to coincide with the 500th anniversary of print in York and for us to contemplate the next 500 years for the industry - with an opportunity to meet fellow guests, hear about plans for the future and make your own comments.

TICKETS will be limited so please RSVP as soon as possible  - 4th February latest.
