PINDERS RUSHES TO THE AID OF MEADOWHALL
Digital print experts Pinders have rushed to the aid of one of Europe’s largest shopping centres, printing emergency graphics following the Sheffield floods.
Pinders, which narrowly escaped serious flooding at its Attercliffe copy shop, has produced special signage for Meadowhall shopping centre.
The centre, which is home to more than 270 stores and 30 restaurants, was flooded by the River Don with water levels rising to 1.8m. But Meadowhall reopened to the public last week and the new signs were printed in just 24 hours to advise visitors where they can safely walk.
The graphics were printed using Pinders’ VUTEk wide format digital print technology. The machine allows Pinders to produce full coloured, finished, weatherproof graphics directly onto virtually any surface up to two metres wide for projects including photographic backdrops, vinyl banners, packaging, display boards, construction industry boards and point of sale material.
David Whiteway, Joint Managing Director at Pinders, said: “I’m really pleased that we’ve been able to do some good and help out a really high-profile local name like Meadowhall. The signage is a great example of our ability to produce bespoke, high quality digital prints of any size at very short notice.”
