Within the historical surroundings of The Great Banqueting Hall at The Civic Hall, Leeds, Victor Watson celebrated his fascinating career and life achievements in the company of a full house of his honoured guests for his Literary Luncheon and Book Signing.
Victor was welcomed by over 240 guests including the Lord and Lady Mayoress of Leeds, Dame Fanny Waterman DBE and the founder and Chairman of the Leeds Pianoforte Competition, and David Perry, Managing Director of Waddingtons and former England Rugby Captain.

After an exquisite meal guests were treated to an auction, on behalf of the Prince's Trust, of a 'special', limited edition, hand bound version of Victor's book, 'The Waddingtons Story', hand bound in Grade 1 Chieftan goatskin leather, hand marbled endpapers and block foiled title, supplied by Charles Dunn, Managing Director of renowned Binders & Finishers 'Riley, Dunn & Wilson' of Huddersfield. This was presented to Victor by Jeremy Mills, Director at RDW.
The book was one of only three and was auctioned for £2000 along with a bottle of champagne to celebrate its dedication.

A fantastic day all round, and one that shall most definately stay in the memories of many.
